Why Andy’s Man Club ?
- I found AMC when I needed it most. The volunteers listened without judgment, and I quickly saw how powerful the impact was—not just on the men attending, but on their families, friends, and colleagues too.
- Inspired by that support, I became a lead facilitator and helped launch Berkshire’s first AMC group in Bracknell. Due to demand, we soon opened a second group.
From Passion to Purpose: Berks Beans
- To sustain my voluntary work, I turned my passion for coffee into a business—Berks Beans.
- The mission is simple: prevent families from suffering the loss and heartbreak caused by suicide by encouraging open, honest conversations.
Why This Matters
- Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 54 in the UK—12 men every day.
- AMC exists to support #THATONEMAN who feels alone or overwhelmed.
- It’s more than just suicide prevention—it’s a weekly “reset” for many men, helping them offload and feel heard.
What Makes AMC Special
- Free to attend
- No waiting list
- No pressure to come every week
- Almost 300 clubs across the UK and growing
- Local groups run entirely by volunteers and funded through donations
How Berks Beans Helps
- Every bag of coffee sold supports our AMC groups.
- Berks Beans allows me the time and resources to focus on offering vital support through the group, ensuring safe spaces are available for those in need.
- It’s my way of giving back, breaking the stigma, and creating change—one cup at a time.
You’re Not Alone
- If you—or someone you know—is going through a storm, remember: #ITSOKAYTOTALK
